How to make an on-brand pitch deck
Build a pitch deck that looks investor-ready — use one design system's palette, type, and layout in Gamma, Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva so every slide is consistent.
Why it matters
Mismatched fonts, colors, and spacing across slides read as "unfinished" and quietly cost you credibility. One design system fixes it — the same type scale, color roles, and rules on the title slide, the traction slide, and the ask.
Tools
Required: A presentation tool. Best: Gamma (official Claude connector + native PowerPoint and Google Slides export). Also works: Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva.
Optional: Claude or another AI to draft the deck's copy, outline, or an HTML version. Note: Claude renders slides as HTML and can't export an editable .pptx on its own.
How it works
- 1. Pick your aesthetic — Browse 100+ systems and download the one that fits your story. You get design.md plus your palette, fonts, and assets — every design decision already made.
- 2. Set your deck's theme — Apply the kit's colors and font pairing as your template in Gamma, Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva. Optionally have Claude draft the slide content or outline first.
- 3. Build and present — Lay out your slides on the theme, then export to PPTX or Google Slides to share. Every slide — cover, traction, ask — shares the same visual system.
Common questions
- Can I make the whole deck inside Claude?
- No. Claude can draft the content and even an HTML version of the slides, but it can't export an editable PowerPoint or Google Slides file. Finish the deck in Gamma, Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva.
- What's the easiest on-brand path?
- Gamma — it connects to Claude and exports straight to PowerPoint and Google Slides, so you can draft with AI and hand investors a real .pptx.
- Will the deck match my website and socials?
- Yes. It's built on the same design.md palette and fonts that drive your site, carousels, and banners, so everything is one brand.
- How many slides should a pitch deck be?
- 10–12 is the standard: cover, problem, solution, product, market, traction, business model, competition, team, and the ask.
- Do I need a designer?
- No — the system is your design decisions, already made. You just place your content on the theme.
